Request a Grant

The Princeton Education Foundation (PEF) is a district-wide, tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) organization whose purpose is to fund grants to enrich learning experiences for the students of the Princeton City Schools. Applications may be submitted by principals of the Princeton School District to the PEF Grant Committee.  Funding priorities are outlined below, along with an explanation of grant application procedures.

The goal of the PEF is to fund initiatives that support and enhance, but do not duplicate or substitute for, the educational programs of the Princeton City School District. We are particularly interested in projects that:

  • are creative
  • are innovative
  • benefit many students or have a long-lasting impact
  • are scalable – that is, have the potential to serve as pilot projects for practices that might merit widespread adoption by other teachers, classes, or schools
  • enhance collaboration between classes, teachers, grades, or schools
  • leverage additional funds from other sources
  • are sustainable – that is, will continue to provide value beyond the initial funding period
  • foster links between classroom and parents or community involvement
